Abhishek Sharma: Hi everyone. This is Abhishek from shakethecosmos.com, your host for today. And thank you so much for tuning in. I'm going to talk a little bit about two insights I had in the shower today. How come I have insights in the shower? Well, I think shower is almost like a spiritual, amazing place where we're just relaxed, we're stressed and we're not really stressed. The water is coming in and we can find these insights, and insights can come anywhere. You could be driving, and you could have insight there. So stay tuned to listen to some of these insights.

And if it's your first time listening to Shake The Cosmos Podcast, just keep in mind. Shake The Cosmos is a global community where entrepreneurs and average Joe's just share their own life stories of overcoming hardship, to help inspire other entrepreneurs to achieve their mission in life. And with that, I want to just start out by saying insights, what is an insight? An insight is something, first of all, you have to be able to identify it. It's an idea. So for example, I write three morning pages every day. And usually, what that means is I wake up like 6:30 in the morning, and the first thing I do is go ahead and start writing. I'm just writing, it's such a habit that sometimes I even go to the restroom. I have to go to the restroom while I'm writing, and then I end up going with my notebook to the restroom. I have to finish writing. So it's that addicting. And usually within a page and a half or so, I usually find something random like an insight. And usually, I can identify it like, whoa, what is this? So if you're listening right now, how do you identify your insight? Sometimes maybe they're right in front of you, and you don't recognize it? Or maybe you do? What is your way of communicating that insight to yourself, remind yourself of that insight.

So the insights that I want to share today are pretty simple. They might sound simple, but I'm hoping to kind of share and maybe we can start some dialogue. So one of the books that I subscribed to is called The Artist's Way, I'll include a link to it in the podcast so you can check it out. But one of the beliefs is that to always carry a little notebook with you, when you're traveling, always have something because when something hits, when inspiration, creativity hits, you want to be ready to write it down. So for me, I was taking a shower today and these two insights came out. So the number one insight was the most important person in the world also cleans their own shit after they poop. So it's just humbling as that came out. I think behind that was a reminder of responsibility, just taking responsibility within relationships, taking responsibility within taking care of yourself. And for me, it was just like I was thinking, okay, yeah. Even the President of the United States like Joe Biden goes to the restroom and probably there's nobody wiping his butt. So it was just like, when he's out and about, there's all these security guards, there's a secret service, everybody's just taking care of him. But there is this private moment in the bathroom where he's just by himself, and that's true for most important people in the world. So I think for me, it became a little bit of an analogy to take ownership of shit. That happens that may be caused by myself. And it was just good. I think I'm still processing it, so it's still pretty fresh. I'd love to hear you, hit me up on Instagram, Shake The Cosmos, that's S-H-A-K-E-T-H-E-C-O-S-M-O-S, and kind of let me know what you think. I mean, maybe I can learn something from you about how you may have taken the responsibility of your own shit.

Second insight was really, really about just my health and the perspective that I have. So I recently got the vaccination for Coronavirus. And sometimes, what ends up happening is the side effects. So for me, I'm experiencing one of the side effects like a couple days later where you can start to feel a little bit of fever, and also a little bit of tiredness. For me, the fever sort of gone away, but just feeling a little tired. And I think the insight really reminded me like, what it is that's happening? That this sickness represents the shedding of old Abhishek, and new Abhishek coming in. So again, this sickness represents the shedding of old Abhishek and new Abhishek coming in. I think it was just a reminder of the framework that I have in my life, which is, again, I moved from India to the US at the age of 15. My parents saw a lot of hardship, my family saw a lot of hardship, and it changed how I looked at the world. Changed to the point where I always look at an obstacle as, okay, well, obstacles in life cannot be that bad, because I always compare it to the experience that I had as a teenager. So are there opportunities? Are there places in your life? Are there moments in your life where you feel that you are faced in a current situation, but you can compare it to a previous situation? Maybe you already do that. So for me, it was good to recognize that. And for me to feel the side effects of the vaccine, and just my health, I look at it as there's a version of me that's going away, and there's a new version of me that's coming in. For some reason, when I look at it that way, it just gets me excited. It just gets me excited.

And even my friend Pilar here in the United Arab Emirates was like, well, I'm excited to see your new version. So I'm excited to see my own version. Other people are excited to see your new version. So what might be an obstacle or situation that you're feeling, or or a health issue that you're feeling? Maybe kind of changing the perspective to see, could you think about it this way? Hey, this sickness or this obstacles represents the shedding of an old me and a new me coming in. I mean, I agree. It's probably hard to think about it that way, but why not give it a try? So with that, that's really it for today. Hope you enjoyed my two shower insights. Again, if you really enjoyed this episode, helped me out, hit the subscribe button.
