So, the other day, I packed my bags, and threw in a tent and sleeping bag in my car, and started driving east. There was literally no destination in mind, I had told myself that I will drive 2-2.5 hours east of San Diego. To my surprise, I was in Arizona in a couple of hours!

I ended up staying in Yuma, AZ for the evening, and on the way back, my plan was to swing back through the Saltan Sea, and also Joshua Tree; however, as I was walking by, I noticed a craft and pottery store called Artsy and Fartsy (I know, the name cracks me up too.) I couldn't resist going in, and one particular piece caught my eye, and just spoke to me (figuratively speaking). Has this happened to you where you change your plans?

And, then I ended up spending the rest of the day just painting that piece. The shop-owner took the piece fired and glazed it and made it look really nice. This is how it looked before.
